The Beverly Public Schools is currently looking for an experienced part-time Diesel and Gasoline Engine Mechanic for school buses to keep up our level of commitment to safety and service to the parents and students of the Beverly Public Schools. In this role, the successful candidate will perform school bus repair and maintenance work in accordance with factory and industry standards, run diagnostics on school buses and work closely with other team members to meet district transportation goals. Diesel and Gasoline School Bus Mechanic responsibilities and duties Perform minor and major repairs on school buses and vans Conduct regular preventative maintenance on school buses, including inspection, tire rotation, and oil changes Maintain parts inventory and cleanliness in the shop Collaborate with the repair team to diagnose problems with vehicles and plan repairs Perform regular diagnostic tests on school buses Maintain accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles Diesel and Gasoline School Bus Mechanic qualifications and skills 5+ years' experience as a Diesel and Gasoline School Bus Mechanic Must possess a valid MA CDL license with School Bus Driver Certification Ability to lift up to 150 pounds Excellent reading and writing skills Ability to pass criminal background checks and drug test(s) ASE Diesel Certification an asset
