Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel vehicles and equipment. Your expertise will ensure optimal vehicle performance, safety, and compliance with industry standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge mechanical systems and contribute to the efficiency of our operations through expert vehicle maintenance and repair. Responsibilities Conduct thorough inspections of diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and other mechanical components using schematics and diagnostic tools. Perform repairs and maintenance on heavy-duty vehicles including but not limited to Peterbilt, Mack, Ford, and Western Star, utilizing hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair techniques. Interpret automotive electrical systems diagrams and utilize testing devices such as ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical issues. Follow safety regulations rigorously during all maintenance activities to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues. Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance performed in compliance with operational procedures. Assist in the assembly and disassembly of mechanical systems using manual handling techniques and appropriate safety measures. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding vehicle status, repairs needed, and maintenance schedules. Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather, as needed. Qualifications Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or in a similar automotive service role with a focus on heavy-duty vehicles. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, mechanical systems repair, and vehicle maintenance procedures. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive electrical systems diagnostics. Ability to read schematics accurately and use diagnostic testing devices such as ohmmeters effectively. Knowledge of safety regulations related to mechanical repair work and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Experience working with maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) environments preferred. Excellent manual handling skills combined with attention to detail in mechanical repair tasks. Strong communication skills to provide clear updates on repairs and collaborate effectively within a team. Must be fluent in English , Spanish proficiency also preferred. Shift Details Multiple shift options available, including day, evening, overnight, weekend and on-call shifts plus 1 hour of unpaid lunch:
