In this role, you will leverage your mechanical expertise to diagnose, troubleshoot, and service a wide range of industrial, farm, and construction machinery. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, including troubleshooting engine performance issues using schematics and diagnostic tools Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, and system inspections to ensure optimal engine operation Repair and replace components such as transmissions, shocks & struts, brakes, hydraulics, suspension systems, and HVAC units on heavy equipment like excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and industrial machinery Fabricate parts or modifications using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques to meet specific repair needs Use heavy equipment operation skills to test repaired machinery for proper function and safety compliance Interpret technical schematics and manuals to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs efficiently Maintain detailed service records, logs of repairs performed, parts used, and diagnostic findings in compliance with company standards Requirements Proven experience working as a mechanic or service technician with a focus on diesel engine repair in dealership or heavy equipment environments Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive diagnostics, transmissions, hydraulics, air brake systems, alignment procedures, HVAC systems, and electrical components Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques including welding and soldering; familiarity with assembly processes for industrial equipment is a plus Ability to operate heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers safely and effectively Skilled in reading schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex systems Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance procedures for farm machinery and industrial equipment Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members Physical ability for heavy lifting, working in various environmental conditions, and performing manual repairs for extended periods This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to apply their technical skills in a vibrant setting while advancing their career in diesel engine repair.
