Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Diesel Mechanic and become a vital part of maintaining and repairing a wide range of heavy-duty equipment and vehicles. In this energetic role, you will leverage your mechanical expertise to ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability of diesel engines, industrial machinery, and heavy equipment. Your hands-on skills will keep operations running smoothly, supporting various industries including transportation, construction, agriculture, and industrial services. Duties Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, air brake systems, and HVAC components on heavy equipment such as excavators, and tractor-trailers. Perform routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, shocks & struts replacements, wheel alignments, and general vehicle inspections. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical systems, wiring harnesses, soldering connections, and electronic control modules. Fabricate parts or modify existing components using power tools such as welders and hand tools to meet specific repair needs or enhance equipment performance. Conduct heavy lifting operations safely when handling large machinery or parts during repairs or assembly processes. Maintain detailed service records for each vehicle or piece of equipment serviced or repaired to ensure compliance with safety standards and warranty requirements. Collaborate with team members to execute equipment repairs efficiently while adhering to safety protocols and quality standards. Qualifications Proven mechanic experience with a focus on diesel engine repair and heavy equipment maintenance; dealership experience is highly valued. Strong mechanical knowledge across automotive diagnostics, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, air brakes, HVAC systems, and electrical troubleshooting. Skilled in the use of schematics for diagnostics and repairs; proficiency with power tools and hand tools required. Experience operating heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, or industrial equipment is preferred. Ability to perform welding and fabrication tasks; familiarity with soldering techniques is a plus. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members. Physical ability for heavy lifting and working in various environmental conditions; commitment to safety standards at all times. Pay:
$27.53 - $33.16 per hour
