We are currently looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic (Vac Trucks/Fleet) to join our team in Taylor, MI with extensive experience working on a varied fleet of OTR trucks and equipment. Responsibilities:

Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on diesel engines and heavy-duty trucks Maintain and service a variety of fleet vehicles, including Vac trucks Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems Conduct DOT inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards Complete work orders and maintain accurate service records Respond to emergency breakdowns as needed Collaborate with fleet manager to schedule routine maintenance

Qualifications:

5+ years of diesel mechanic experience (Fleet maintenance required) Experience working on Vac trucks or similar specialty equipment Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems Ability to use diagnostic tools and read schematics Must have own tools CDL A or B (preferred, or willing to obtain) High school diploma or GED Ability to pass drug screening and background check
