Heavy Diesel Mechanic

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Diesel Mechanic to join our team. This position requires an early morning shift with flexibility up to and including weekends and/or evenings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and have experience working with various types of diesel engines and heavy equipment, as well as the maintenance of light to medium duty vehicles and various lawn & snow removal machinery. The candidate must be a self motivator with the ability to prioritize urgency of tasks, work independently as well as with a team. You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with other technicians to provide high-quality service maintaining our fleet. Duties Diesel engine knowledge & understanding Understanding of air, hydraulic & suspension systems Diagnose & test electrical systems Clutch adjustment & repairs Knowledge of diesel emission systems Performing preventative maintenance of trucks & trailers Use of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment Maintaining accurate records of repairs and service Communicate with team members effectively to troubleshoot mechanical issues Keen attention to detail Qualifications 2+ years' experience in diesel mechanics required Diagnose and repair gasoline service vehicles Diagnose and repair small engines (lawn equipment/snow equipment) Must have your own tools Welding & fabrication experience Ability to work independently or as a team Communication with management team providing concise repair status updates A valid driver's license is required/CDL-A license endorsement is a plus Benefits 100% employer paid health insurance 100% employer paid dental insurance 100% employer paid vision insurance
