We are seeking a skilled and dependable Diesel Automotive Technician/Mechanic to maintain and repair a diverse fleet of diesel-powered vehicles owned and operated by our auction company. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technician who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys working on a variety of trucks, transport vehicles, and fleet equipment. Position Summary for Diesel Automotive Technician/Mechanic The Diesel Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, diesel engine experience, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Rewards for Diesel Automotive Technician/Mechanic $25.00•$30.00 per hour M-F 8-5 No nights or weekends No upselling or overbilling Great benefits & paid time off Matching 401(k) plan Career growth potential Some overtime available at times paid at time and a half Responsibilities for Diesel Automotive Technician/Mechanic Diagnose and repair diesel engines, drivetrains, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and electrical components. Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, fluid checks, inspections, and preventive service. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic equipment. Conduct vehicle inspections and identify needed repairs. Maintain service records and repair documentation. Ensure fleet vehicles meet safety and regulatory requirements. Coordinate repair schedules to minimize vehicle downtime. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Requirements:
Qualifications for Diesel Automotive Technician/Mechanic 2+ years of experience as a Diesel Technician, Diesel Mechanic, Fleet Mechanic, or similar role. Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and vehicle diagnostics. Ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of fleet vehicles and equipment. Experience with preventive maintenance programs. Valid driver's license required. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a shop environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
