Full Time Shift:
M-F, 7a - 4p some OT and occasional weekend work may be requiredCompensation:
$25 - $35/hour ________________________________________ Fleet Diesel Technician Position Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Diesel Technician to join our maintenance team. The Diesel Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on diesel-powered trucks, trailers, and related equipment. This position plays a critical role in ensuring our fleet operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all regulatory requirements.Fleet Diesel Technician Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventive maintenance inspections and services on diesel equipment. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and aftertreatment system issues. Experienced with engines, transmissions, drivetrains, brakes, suspension components, and electrical systems. Utilize diagnostic software and electronic troubleshooting tools. Complete work orders accurately and document repairs performed. Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with DOT regulations. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Respond to road calls and emergency repairs as needed. Communicate equipment status and repair recommendations to supervisor. Assist in maintaining parts inventory and shop tools.Fleet Diesel Technician Qualifications:
Required High school diploma or GED. Valid driver's license. Experience maintaining and repairing diesel-powered vehicles and equipment. Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Will need to read and interpret service manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical documents. Will need ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in a shop environment. Preferred CDL (Commercial Driver's License) or ability to obtain one. Experience with medium- and heavy-duty trucks. Knowledge of Cummins and other diesel engine platforms.
