Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Diesel Technician to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel equipment, including various fleet of commercial construction equipment. Your expertise will ensure that our fleet and equipment operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, air brakes, suspension, and electrical systems using schematics and technical manuals Conduct preventive maintenance inspections on trucking equipment to ensure optimal operation Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized tools to execute repairs and assembly tasks efficiently Troubleshoot issues related to vehicle systems including HVAC, wheel alignments, tire service, and vehicle electrical components Fabricate parts or modifications as needed for equipment repair or customization using welding techniques and fabrication tools Maintain detailed service records of repairs performed, parts used, and diagnostics conducted in accordance with company standards Assist with heavy lifting tasks safely using appropriate lifting equipment while adhering to safety protocols Qualifications Proven dealership or heavy equipment repair experience with a strong background in diesel mechanics Demonstrated ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic software for automotive electrical systems Mechanical knowledge of transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, brakes (including air brake systems), and vehicle maintenance procedures Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment and other maintenance tools required for complex repairs Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while maintaining a focus on safety standards Excellent ability to communicate technical information clearly to team members and Valid certifications in automotive diagnostics or heavy truck repair are preferred but not mandatory; relevant training will be provided for qualified candidates Join our team as a Diesel Technician where your expertise will keep our fleet running smoothly!
