  • Full-time Overview Join our dynamic team as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic and become a vital part of maintaining and repairing a wide range of equipment, including semi trucks, and industrial vehicles.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical expertise in a fast-paced environment where safety, precision, and efficiency are paramount. As a Heavy Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that equipment operates at peak performance to keep operations running smoothly and safely. Duties Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, brakes, suspension systems, and electrical components using schematics and diagnostic tools. Perform repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment such as farm machinery, and semi tractor-trailers to ensure optimal functionality. Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding, soldering, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet specific repair requirements. Replace or repair shocks & struts, air brakes, tires, HVAC systems, and alignments to maintain safety standards. Utilize heavy equipment operation skills to assist with on-site repairs or equipment testing when necessary. Follow detailed service manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical issues accurately. Maintain detailed service records of all repairs performed for compliance and future reference. Requirements Proven experience as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic with dealership experience preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, HVAC systems, and electrical diagnostics. Proficiency with automotive diagnostics tools and schematics for troubleshooting complex issues. Hands-on experience with heavy equipment operation including farm and trucking machinery. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons and perform heavy lifting safely. Familiarity with vehicle maintenance procedures including brake repair, wheel alignment, tire service, shocks & struts replacement. Knowledge of safety protocols related to industrial equipment repair and maintenance standards. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with strong customer service orientation to communicate effectively with team members and clients alike.
