Mounds View is part of the Twin Cities gateway, which sits at the juncture of I-35W and Mounds View Boulevard. The city is surrounded by Blaine, Arden Hills, New Brighton, Fridley, and Spring Lake Park. Mounds View is home to Silver View Park and the Mounds View Historical Society Museum.
Position Description:
As a Bus Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and repairing engines, transmission, and electrical systems on school and commercial buses to ensure vehicle quality, reliability, and safety. You will perform advanced troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on customer vehicles, as well as complete preventive maintenance to keep fleets operating efficiently. Our Bus Technicians work in collaboration with a team of techs reporting directly to the Service Manager. This position is ideal for someone with experience with a Ford chassis and powertrain who is looking to try something new! This position has a wage range of $28 - $34 hourly. This position is eligible for our Tech Incentive. This position will remain posted until filled with resume review ongoing.
Essential Functions Vehicle Diagnostics & Testing:
perform quality diagnostics, functionality checks, road testing, and service and repair of bus fleets
Systems Repairs & Replacements:
repair and replace mechanical, fluid, electrical, and air systems as well as structural components
Repair Documentation & Warranty Submission:
documenting repairs and providing necessary information for warranty submissions
Inspections & Other Duties:
Conduct DOT, pre-delivery inspections as well as vehicle prep and other tasks as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Mechanical, technical, and fabrication skills Electrical/electronic systems and hydraulics knowledge Excellent time management skills Attention to detail
Required Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent Mechanical and electrical aptitude Valid Class D Driver's License Knowledge of electrical/electronic systems and hydraulics
Preferred Experience:
2+ years of related post-secondary education with 1+ years of related experience ASE Certification 3+ years of related experience in leu of education Forklift experience CDL Class B w/ Passenger Endorsement or ability to obtain within 1 year of employment Knowledge of diesel, gas, propane, and electric vehicles Knowledge of Ford powertrain systems We are an equal opportunity employer.
