PM Pay:
$25-$30 per hour, based on experience

Full-Time | 12-Month Position Keep Students Moving Safely We are seeking a skilled School Bus Technician to help maintain and repair the buses and vehicles that safely transport students each day. This is an opportunity to use your mechanical expertise while making a meaningful impact on the lives of students throughout the community. As a School Bus Technician, you will perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, inspections, and road service to keep the fleet safe, reliable, and road-ready. What You'll Do Inspect, diagnose, repair, and service school buses and other District vehicles. Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled repairs. Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, brakes, steering, transmissions, and electrical systems. Complete required state vehicle inspections. Respond to road service and emergency repair calls as needed. Use diagnostic tools, shop equipment, and hand and power tools safely and effectively. Maintain accurate records and documentation of repairs and maintenance performed. Follow District, state, and federal safety and maintenance requirements. Collaborate with other technicians and transportation team members to keep the fleet operating efficiently. What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent required. Strong general knowledge of diesel engines/gasoline engines, brakes, and transmissions . Mechanical or school bus maintenance experience preferred. State Vehicle Inspector certification required or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment. Valid Class B CDL preferred , with the ability to obtain within 6 months of employment. Missouri CDL with passenger endorsement preferred. School Bus ASE certification is a plus. Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and repair skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Commitment to workplace and vehicle safety.
