Job Description

Job Summary
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Positively take ownership of the customer experience with Hayden Machinery. Diagnose and repair multiple brands of equipment (i.e. Kobelco, Bell, Caterpillar, Deere, Komatsu, etc.). Preventative maintenance, machine inspections, and general upkeep of equipment. Operation of machinery in order to diagnose and repair, or confirm completion of repairs performed. Basic welding is infrequent but necessary. Work safely according to the Hayden Machinery Employee Handbook and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines. Flexibility in work type and duties. Working well as part of a team.
QUALIFICATIONS
2 years minimum experience as a heavy equipment service technician, troubleshooting and repairing equipment; earthmoving equipment preferred but not required. Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Intermediate knowledge and experience with heavy equipment and related systems (i.e., engine, hydraulic, etc.). MUST work well in a team environment. Knowledge and experience with basic tools as well as diagnosing equipment utilizing technology such as laptop computers (i.e., CAT "ET", Cummins Insight, Deere Service Advisor, etc.).
PHYSICAL ABILITIES/REQUIREMENTS
Ability to work overtime, including evenings, occasional weekends, and on rare occasions, holidays. Ability to stand for an extensive amount of time. Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds. Work is performed with frequent exposure to outside elements and seasonal environmental factors. Frequent stooping, bending, and lifting occur. The majority of the time in this position is spent walking or standing. Travel for training may be required on occasion.
Pay:
$25.00 - $45.00 per hour
