Empire Truck Sales, LLC is a leading Freightliner and Western Star commercial truck dealership serving the Southeast. We are expanding our workforce and offering a Diesel Student Technician Internship for motivated Diesel Technology students seeking hands‑on dealership experience in a real heavy‑duty truck service environment. About the Opportunity This internship is designed for students pursuing a career as a Diesel Mechanic / Diesel Technician. Participants gain exposure to heavy‑duty truck diagnostics, preventive maintenance, aftertreatment systems, electrical troubleshooting, and DTNA service processes while working alongside certified technicians. This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in building a long‑term career within the Freightliner dealer network.

Paid internship Key Responsibilities Heavy‑duty truck repair support — Assist technicians with repairs, component replacement, and reconditioning Diagnostic assistance — Perform basic inspections and troubleshooting under supervision Maintenance tasks — Support PM services, fluid checks, and system evaluations Recordkeeping — Document time, parts usage, and repair notes accurately Shop organization — Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas Safety compliance — Follow all dealership and DTNA safety procedures Who We're Looking For Applicants should be pursuing a career in diesel technology and enrolled in one of the following or closely related programs: Diesel Technology / Heavy Truck Technology Automotive Diesel Service Technology Heavy Equipment Technology Other mechanical, electrical, or equipment repair programs that provide relevant technical training Additional Requirements Must be 18 years or older Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, web‑based systems) Personal tools required Must successfully complete an MVR check, background check, and drug screening Why This Internship Stands Out Direct exposure to Freightliner/Western Star equipment Hands‑on training aligned with DTNA standards Real dealership workflow experience Mentorship from experienced technicians Potential pathway to full‑time technician roles based on performance and business needs Launch Your Diesel Career with Empire Truck Sales!
