Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vehicle maintenance and automotive repair, with a focus on diesel engines as well as yellow iron. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of diesel-powered vehicles and equipment, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and related systems. Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment. Conduct brake repairs, tire services, and other essential automotive repairs. Maintain and repair construction machinery as needed. Fabricate parts or components when necessary to ensure proper functionality. Perform heavy lifting as required during repairs and maintenance tasks. Collaborate with other service technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs. Keep accurate records of maintenance work performed on vehicles and equipment. Skills Proficient in vehicle maintenance with a focus on diesel engines. Strong experience as a service technician in the automotive field. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively. Knowledge of automotive repair techniques and best practices. Experience with welding is a plus for fabrication tasks. Familiarity with farm machinery operations and maintenance is desirable. Competence in tire service and brake repair procedures. Experience working with Caterpillar, John Deere, Case, Cummins, and Mack equipment.
