Field Truck Shop Diesel Mechanic

Position Overview As a Field Truck Shop Diesel Mechanic, you will travel to job sites to diagnose, repair, and maintain trucks and fleet vehicles while also supporting the truck shop as needed. This role is critical to minimizing downtime and keeping operations running smoothly. Pay is dependent upon experience. Key Responsibilities Travel to job sites to troubleshoot and repair trucks and fleet vehicles Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and brake system issues in the field Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs Complete repairs efficiently to minimize downtime Communicate with supervisors and operators regarding vehicle status and repair needs Maintain service records and report completed work Follow all company safety procedures and policies Keep service truck clean, organized, and properly stocked Assist with repairs and maintenance in the truck shop as needed Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications 4+ years of diesel mechanic experience preferred Experience working on heavy-duty trucks preferred Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills Experience with hydraulic and electrical systems Ability to work independently with minimal supervision High school diploma or equivalent preferred Valid driver's license required (CDL is a plus) Must be able to pass a drug test Skills & Abilities Strong problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively in the field Dependable, self-motivated, and safety-conscious Strong communication and troubleshooting skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay:

$20.00 - $30.00 per hour
