Truck Shop Diesel Mechanic

Join Our Team Triangle Grading & Paving, Inc. is seeking an experienced Truck Shop Diesel Mechanic to join our in-house truck shop in Burlington, NC. If you're a dependable technician who takes pride in keeping dump trucks, tractors, trailers, and fleet vehicles operating safely and efficiently, we want to hear from you. Position Overview As a Truck Shop Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining our fleet of on-road trucks and support vehicles. This role is critical to minimizing downtime and keeping operations running smoothly. Pay is dependent upon experience. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance on trucks and fleet vehicles Qualifications 4+ years of diesel mechanic experience preferred Experience working on heavy-duty trucks preferred High school diploma or equivalent Strong knowledge of truck service, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance practices Ability to use hand tools, diagnostic software, and precision testing equipment Valid driver's license required (CDL is a plus) Must be able to pass a drug test Skills & Abilities Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Solid understanding of truck repair and maintenance processes Attention to detail with strong problem-solving ability Ability to work independently and as part of a team Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and brake systems Perform engine, transmission, suspension, and general repair work Service trucks and resolve issues in a timely manner Maintain awareness of fleet condition and communicate repair needs Keep shop and work areas clean and organized Follow all company safety policies and procedures Perform other duties as assigned

Pay:

$18.00 - $30.00 per hour
