In this energetic role, you'll leverage your mechanical expertise to diagnose, troubleshoot, and service diesel engines, construction machinery, farm equipment, and industrial vehicles. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines using schematics, OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) manuals, and electrical/automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs and maintenance on a variety of heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, trailers, and construction machinery. Fabricate custom parts or modifications using welding, soldering, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet specific operational needs. Service and repair hydraulic systems, air brakes, transmissions, suspensions, HVAC systems, and tire services to ensure optimal performance of all machinery. Utilize heavy equipment operation skills for troubleshooting and testing machinery post-repair; perform alignment and calibration to manufacturer specifications. Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, incident logs, and ensure compliance with safety standards during all maintenance activities. Assist with heavy lifting tasks and perform welding or assembly work as required for equipment repair or fabrication projects. Skills Proven dealership experience with heavy equipment or automotive repair highly preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with expertise in diesel engine diagnostics, electrical diagnostics, hydraulics, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and HVAC systems. Proficiency in reading schematics and OEM manuals for accurate troubleshooting and repairs. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques and fabrication methods. Experience servicing construction machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, farm machinery and industrial equipment. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining precision in repairs; excellent customer service skills are a plus. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation for testing purposes; knowledge of construction equipment servicing is advantageous. Join us to keep the wheels turning!
