Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty equipment, including trucks, construction machinery, and industrial vehicles. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability of our fleet and equipment. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems across various heavy equipment and vehicles. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, suspension work, and air brake system inspections to keep equipment operating at peak efficiency. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues accurately. Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding and hand tools to meet specific repair requirements. Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and document all repairs performed for accountability and future reference. We are mainly looking for someone to help out on PMs, tires, and trailers (Tires, brakes, and lights on the trailers) Skills Proven dealership or heavy equipment mechanic experience with a strong mechanical knowledge base. Experience with fabrication, welding, soldering, and working with power tools for custom repairs or modifications. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance including transmissions, suspension systems, brakes (including air brakes), alignment procedures, hydraulics, and HVAC systems. Familiarity with diesel engine repair for trucks Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients or team members regarding repairs or maintenance needs. Capable of performing heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during equipment assembly or repairs.
