The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and heavy equipment. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work with various tools and equipment. The Diesel Mechanic will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our fleet and machinery. Responsibilities Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, including Caterpillar engines and other heavy equipment. Conduct maintenance on a variety of vehicles including tractor-trailers, farm machinery, and industrial equipment. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for repairs and fabrication tasks. Work with hydraulic systems, air brakes, suspensions, transmissions, and HVAC systems. Interpret schematics to troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs. Execute brake repair, alignment services, shocks & struts replacement, Maintain accurate records of repairs performed and parts used. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle maintenance needs. Ensure compliance with safety standards while performing heavy lifting and operating machinery. Requirements Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role in automotive repair or service technician positions. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in diesel engine repair and vehicle maintenance. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery. Ability to read schematics and perform electrical diagnostics. Experience with fabrication techniques is a plus. Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety protocols. Ability to lift heavy objects as required for maintenance tasks. Strong communication skills for effective customer interaction.
