Carolina Heavy Transport (CHT) offers equipment transport, heavy haul, and mobile and road-side service, for both heavy equipment and trucks. We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. This for a mobile service truck based in the Raleigh area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues efficiently. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who is passionate about working with heavy machinery and vehicles, and can do so independently with little supervision. Ability to professionally interact with current customers and potential new customers is a must. Duties Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and related systems. Both trucks and heavy equipment. Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment. Conduct repairs on machinery and vehicles as needed. Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects. Skills Proficient in diesel engine repair and vehicle maintenance. Strong knowledge of air brake systems and brake repair techniques. Experience with equipment repair, including heavy machinery. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team environment. Class A CDL preferred but not required. $30,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
