Diesel and Heavy Equipment Mechanic We are seeking a Diesel & Heavy Equipment Mechanic who thinks like an Operations Specialist. You won't just be turning wrenches; you will be the guardian of our uptime, ensuring that our specialized industrial equipment is field-ready, DOT-compliant, and operationally efficient. You will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between mechanical health and project success.

Specialized Fleet & Heavy Equipment Maintenance Diesel Systems:

Diagnose and repair diesel engines, fuel systems, and exhaust after-treatment components for our heavy-duty truck fleet.

Vacuum & High-Pressure Water Systems:

Maintain and troubleshoot high-efficiency jetting/water systems and vacuum pumps.

Hydraulics & PTOs:

Service hydraulic systems, including pumps, cylinders, and Power Take-Off (PTO) units that drive our vacuum and water operations.

Robotics Support:

Assist in the basic mechanical upkeep of our camera-equipped robotic crawlers and off-road inspection units.

Operations & Fleet Reliability Uptime Management:

Coordinate with the Leadership Team to prioritize repairs that align with project schedules.

Field Support:

Conduct emergency on-site diagnostics to minimize downtime during critical infrastructure projects.

PM Strategy:

Develop and execute a Preventative Maintenance program that extends the lifecycle of our high-value Jet/Vac assets.

Compliance, Safety & Documentation DOT Readiness:

Conduct rigorous inspections to ensure all vehicles meet Federal and State Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements.

Inventory Control:

Track and manage specialized parts inventory, ensuring critical gaskets, nozzles, and hoses are always in stock.

Environmental Stewardship:

Manage the safe handling and disposal of hazardous fluids and waste in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications & Skills Experience:

3-5 years as a Diesel/Heavy Equipment Mechanic. Experience with Vac Trucks is a major plus. Training on our specific brand of vac trucks will be provided.

Certifications:

ASE Medium/Heavy Truck certifications or specialized Diesel Technology degree preferred.

Physical Ability:

Ability to lift 75 lbs, work in confined spaces, and stand for extended periods in various weather conditions.

Valid Driver's License:
