This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse fleet of diesel-powered machinery, including trucks,trailers and construction vehicles. As a vital part of our maintenance team, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and electrical components using schematics and technical manuals. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, suspension work, and alignment procedures to maximize equipment lifespan. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques to repair or modify heavy machinery and vehicle systems. Inspect and repair heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, trailers, and other industrial or farm machinery. Troubleshoot automotive electrical systems and HVAC components on various vehicles and equipment to ensure optimal performance. Maintain detailed service records and complete documentation for all repairs performed. Assist with heavy lifting operations and ensure safety protocols are followed during all maintenance activities. Experience Proven experience working as a diesel mechanic or heavy equipment technician in a dealership or industrial setting. Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems including brakes, shocks & struts, hydraulics, air brakes, suspensions, and powertrains. Familiarity with automotive diagnostics tools and schematics for troubleshooting complex mechanical issues. some repairs maybe out of shop or for roadside repairs Hands-on experience with heavy truck repair, service technician duties for truck drivers, or similar roles involving vehicle maintenance. Knowledge of welding Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members. Physical capability for heavy lifting and working in various environmental conditions while maintaining safety standards. Pay:
