Overview Join our dynamic team as a Diesel Mechanic and become a vital part of maintaining and repairing a wide range of heavy-duty equipment and attachments. In this energetic role, you'll leverage your mechanical expertise to ensure machinery operates efficiently, safely, and reliably. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic and electrical systems. Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes and inspections to prevent breakdowns Conduct detailed diagnostics utilizing diagnostics tools and electrical testing procedures Maintain accurate service records and documentation for all repairs performed Knowledge of pneumatic systems and air brakes. Safety practices and procedures. Qualifications Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic with dealership or heavy equipment background preferred but not required. Ability to read schematics accurately for troubleshooting electrical and hydraulic systems. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety standards and quality workmanship Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks regularly in a fast-paced environment Ability to : Diagnose problems and make repairs in the field when necessary. Effectively handle lifting of various objects weighing up to 60 pounds. Work extended hours out of doors in a variety of weather conditions. Prepare and maintain records and reports. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees Follow written and verbal instructions, including manufacturers' service specifications. Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Associate Degree in Diesel Technology preferred. Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information. two years of experience in vehicle equipment repair preferred.
