We are dedicated to maintaining high standards of service and safety in our operations. Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and energetic Diesel Mechanic to join our team. In this vital role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of heavy equipment, industrial machinery, and vehicle fleets. Your expertise will ensure our operations run smoothly, safely, and efficiently, supporting our mission to responsibly recycle used oil. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, and air brake systems. Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, tire service, alignment, and brake repairs to maximize equipment uptime. Fabricate and modify parts using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics for custom or repair purposes. Repair and service heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, and industrial equipment. Use electrical knowledge for troubleshooting wiring issues, soldering connections, and ensuring all systems operate safely and efficiently. Maintain accurate service records, complete detailed reports on repairs performed, and follow safety protocols during all tasks. Assist with heavy lifting tasks and perform welding or fabrication work as needed for equipment assembly or repair. Requirements Proven mechanic experience with a focus on diesel engine repair and heavy equipment maintenance. Dealership experience is highly preferred for familiarity with manufacturer specifications. Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive diagnostics, transmissions, hydraulics, HVAC systems, shocks & struts. Proficiency with schematics reading and electrical troubleshooting techniques. Ability to operate heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers safely. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools. Experience with tire service, wheel alignment, brake repair, suspension work, and vehicle maintenance routines. Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and clients when necessary. Physical ability for heavy lifting tasks and working in various outdoor conditions. $30.00 - $34.00 per hour
