Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our heavy equipment maintenance team. In this vital role, you will repair, perform diagnostics, and maintenance of a diverse fleet of diesel-powered machinery, including industrial equipment,, and heavy-duty vehicles. You will ensure that all equipment operates efficiently, safely, and reliably, supporting our operational excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical expertise in a fast-paced environment while mentoring team members and maintaining high standards of service. Duties Daily maintenance and repair activities for diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, brakes, and other mechanical components. Diagnose complex mechanical issues using schematics, automotive diagnostics tools, and technical manuals. Tasks including welding, soldering, and assembly of parts or custom modifications as needed. Ensure adherence to safety protocols during all maintenance procedures and promote a culture of safety among team members. Manage inventory of parts, hand tools, power tools, and supplies necessary for repairs and maintenance. Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair status clearly and ensuring timely completion of work orders. Requirements Proven mechanic experience with dealership background preferred; strong knowledge of diesel engine repair and automotive diagnostics is essential. Proficiency in reading schematics, electrical systems, hydraulics, HVAC systems, and transmission repairs. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance machinery safely and effectively. Ability to lift heavy components regularly and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the workday. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
