Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Foreman - School Bus Mechanic to lead our maintenance team in ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of our fleet of school buses. This hands-on role requires a motivated leader with strong technical expertise in bus repair and maintenance, as well as excellent supervisory skills. The ideal candidate will oversee daily operations, coordinate repairs, and ensure compliance with safety standards while fostering a collaborative team environment. Your leadership will directly impact the safety of students and the smooth operation of our transportation services. • This is not a desk job, must be able to come in and be a positive hands on team player and Leader• Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate the maintenance, repair, and inspection of school buses to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met. Lead a team of mechanics, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to promote a high-quality work environment. Schedule and prioritize repairs to meet operational deadlines. Conduct thorough inspections of buses DOT inspection Experience preferred Manage inventory of parts and supplies, coordinating procurement efforts for parts for documentation purposes. Maintain detailed records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance logs to support quality control and regulatory audits. Handle all DOT inspections Skills Proven supervisory experience in a maintenance management environment with strong leadership capabilities. Experience in the busing industry is a must Be able to work under pressure Must have effective communication skills Knowledge of DOT Inspections Skilled mechanic with management related to fleet maintenance projects. Experience with project scheduling, quality control processes, and managing multiple tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines. Pay:
$85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
