Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty equipment, including trucks, construction machinery, and industrial systems. Your expertise will ensure that all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse machinery, utilize advanced diagnostic tools, and contribute to the smooth operation of our fleet and equipment assets. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspensions, brakes, and electrical systems using schematics and technical manuals. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, air brake inspections, wheel alignments, and shocks & struts replacement to ensure optimal performance. Fabricate and modify equipment components as needed using welding and hand tools to meet operational specifications. Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues on farm machinery, industrial equipment, and heavy trucks by interpreting schematics and utilizing automotive diagnostics tools. Assist in the assembly of new equipment or parts following manufacturer guidelines and safety standards. Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and document repairs accurately for compliance and future reference. Requirements Proven experience working as a Diesel Technician or Heavy Equipment Mechanic in a dealership or industrial environment. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, HVAC systems, suspension components, and vehicle electrical systems. Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques such as welding and soldering; familiarity with power tools is essential. Ability to read schematics accurately and interpret technical manuals for troubleshooting complex systems. Skilled in automotive repair including brake repair, wheel alignment, shocks & struts replacement, tire service, and vehicle maintenance for trucks or Experience Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members.
