In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel equipment and vehicles. Your expertise will ensure that all machinery operates efficiently, safely, and reliably, supporting our operations across various industries. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse equipment, including trucks, excavators, cranes, and farm machinery, in a fast-paced environment that values technical excellence and proactive problem-solving. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, brakes, shocks & struts, and HVAC systems. Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire service, alignment checks, and vehicle inspections to prevent future issues. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems accurately. Fabricate parts or components as needed using power tools and welding equipment to ensure proper fit and function. Repair heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers while adhering to safety standards. Maintain detailed service records for all repairs and maintenance performed on vehicles and equipment. Assist with assembly, disassembly, and equipment repair projects to support operational readiness. Skills Proven experience working as a Diesel Mechanic in a dealership or industrial setting with strong mechanical knowledge. Proficiency in automotive diagnostics and electrical troubleshooting techniques. Hands-on experience with heavy equipment operation such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, welding machines, and other maintenance tools effectively. Ability to read and interpret schematics for electrical systems and mechanical assemblies. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures including brake repair, tire service, wheel alignment, shocks & struts replacement. Familiarity with hydraulic systems, air brake systems, HVAC components, transmissions, suspensions, and steering mechanisms. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly about repairs and maintenance needs. Capable of performing heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during complex repairs or installations.
