$35.00-$40.00 per hour, based on verified experience Canyon Coach Lines is seeking an experienced Motorcoach HVAC Technician to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain the air-conditioning systems on our company fleet of motorcoaches and heavy-duty buses. This is a specialized fleet position focused on commercial vehicle A/C systems—not residential HVAC sales or installation. The ideal candidate can independently diagnose problems, complete reliable repairs, and return buses to service safely and efficiently. Responsibilities Diagnose, repair, and maintain complete motorcoach and heavy-duty bus A/C systems Service Carrier/Carlyle 05G, BITZER, and BOCK compressors Perform refrigerant recovery, evacuation, vacuum testing, leak detection, and system recharging Diagnose electrical circuits, controls, sensors, relays, clutches, and wiring issues Repair or replace compressors, hoses, fittings, condensers, evaporators, blower motors, valves, and related components Perform preventive maintenance and identify recurring system failures Test completed repairs and confirm proper cooling performance Maintain accurate repair, parts, and service records Keep the work area clean and follow all safety and refrigerant-handling requirements Required Qualifications Direct experience repairing motorcoach, transit bus, heavy-duty vehicle, truck, or comparable mobile HVAC systems Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills Hands-on experience with Carrier/Carlyle 05G, BITZER, and/or BOCK compressors Ability to read electrical diagrams and manufacturer service information EPA Section 609 certification Ability to work independently and complete repairs correctly the first time Valid driver's license Preferred Qualifications Three or more years of motorcoach or heavy-duty vehicle A/C experience Experience working on MCI, Prevost, Van Hool, Temsa, or similar motorcoaches Experience with multiple compressor brands listed above ASE certification or commercial vehicle HVAC training CDL is helpful but not required Compensation $29.00-$41.00 per hour, depending on direct motorcoach HVAC experience, certifications, and diagnostic ability Full-time fleet position Additional compensation or overtime opportunities may be available based on operational needs To Apply Please submit your résumé or a detailed summary of your motorcoach or heavy-duty A/C experience.
