In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty trucks and equipment directly at customer sites or on the road. Your expertise will ensure that our fleet remains in optimal condition, minimizing downtime and maximizing safety. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse heavy machinery, including diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components, all while providing top-tier service to our clients. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on semi trucks, including engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, hydraulics, and electrical systems. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, alignment checks, and air brake inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues efficiently. Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, forklifts, cranes, and other industrial machinery for repair or fabrication tasks as needed. Fabricate parts or modifications using welding and hand tools to meet specific repair requirements or enhance vehicle performance. Maintain detailed service records of all repairs performed and communicate effectively with customers regarding their vehicle status. Assist with heavy lifting tasks and perform tire replacements or repairs in various field conditions. Requirements Proven experience as a heavy truck mechanic or automotive repair technician with dealership experience preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, suspensions, HVAC systems, shocks & struts, and vehicle electrical systems. Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex systems. Hands-on experience with heavy equipment operation including excavators, forklifts, cranes, and farm machinery. Skilled in using power tools, welding equipment, soldering tools, and other maintenance instruments safely and effectively. Ability to perform vehicle maintenance tasks such as brake repair, wheel alignment, hydraulic repairs, and tire service. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Physical capability for heavy lifting and working in various outdoor environments; valid driver's license required.
