The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vehicle maintenance and repair, particularly with diesel engines. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work independently and as part of a team to ensure that all diesel vehicles are operating efficiently and safely. Duties Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including inspections, diagnostics, and troubleshooting. Conduct heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with vehicle repairs and maintenance. Assemble and disassemble engine components as needed for repairs. Align wheels and perform other adjustments to ensure optimal vehicle performance. Maintain accurate records of service performed on each vehicle. Collaborate with other service technicians to diagnose complex issues and implement effective solutions. Utilize soldering techniques for electrical repairs when necessary. Ensure compliance with safety regulations while working in the shop environment. Experience Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or in a similar role is preferred. Strong knowledge of diesel repair practices, particularly related to diesel engines. Familiarity with vehicle maintenance procedures and diagnostic tools. Ability to dig into complex mechanical issues and provide effective solutions. Experience in heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks is essential. Certification or training in Diesel technology or a related field is a plus.
