This role is vital in ensuring that all trucks, equipment and industrial equipment are serviced efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. As a leader on the shop floor, you will coordinate a team of technicians, manage repair workflows, and uphold quality control. Your expertise in diesel mechanics, heavy equipment operation, and automotive systems will drive our maintenance excellence and keep our fleet and others running smoothly. Duties Lead and supervise a team of diesel technicians, ensuring timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks Diagnose complex mechanical issues using schematics, diagnostic tools, and technical manuals Oversee the repair and maintenance of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, brakes, and electrical systems Conduct fabrication tasks including welding and assembly to modify or repair equipment as needed Ensure adherence to safety protocols during all repair activities and operate heavy machinery safely Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and inspection reports for all equipment serviced Requirements Proven dealership or heavy equipment repair experience with a strong background in diesel mechanics Extensive knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems repair, and electrical systems for vehicles and industrial equipment Hands-on experience with heavy equipment Willing to be on call for road service on select nights and weekends Skilled in reading schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex mechanical issues Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques Ability to perform vehicle maintenance such as tire service, alignment, shocks & struts replacement, HVAC repairs, and air brake systems Strong mechanical knowledge of transmissions, hydraulics, suspension components, and vehicle systems for trucks and farm machinery Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team while maintaining high safety standards Valid certifications in diesel engine repair, heavy truck repair, automotive electrical systems or related fields are preferred but not mandatory Dot Medical card Class A license a plus but not required Join us if you're passionate about leading a skilled team in maintaining top-tier industrial vehicles and heavy machinery.
