Job Description

The Diesel Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing heavy equipment and fleet vehicles to ensure safe and efficient operations. This role supports a wide range of mechanical systems, including engines, electrical systems, drivetrains, braking systems, and hydraulics, and plays a critical role in maintaining equipment readiness across the organization. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and major repairs on heavy equipment, including loaders, dump trucks, sweepers, and similar equipment, across key systems: Engine Electrical Drivetrain Suspension Braking systems Hydraulics Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and safety Provide maintenance support during snow events, including emergency and on-demand repairs Utilize diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards Requirements 3-5 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic, with heavy equipment experience preferred Demonstrated ability to operate hand and power tools and perform independent repairs Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment Valid driver s license required Ability to pass airport badge/security screening process Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting Skills and Qualifications Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, including experience with diesel diagnostic software Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work effectively in non-climate-controlled environments Positive attitude with strong work ethic and adaptability in dynamic conditions Outworx Group and its family of companies is an EEO/AA Employer.
