Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain a fleet of Kenworth trucks manufactured in 2016 or newer. The ideal candidate will have experience working with modern diesel engines, electronic diagnostic systems, emissions systems, and preventive maintenance programs. This position requires strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship. High SchoolResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance services on Kenworth trucks, including oil changes, filter replacements, lubrication, and fluid checks. Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, drivetrains, suspension systems, steering components, and braking systems. Troubleshoot and repair electronic and electrical systems using OEM and aftermarket diagnostic software. Inspect, maintain, and repair emissions control systems, including DPF, DEF, EGR, and SCR components. Perform engine performance testing and identify mechanical or electronic faults. Conduct DOT inspections and ensure vehicles meet all federal, state, and company safety standards. Complete work orders accurately and document repairs, parts usage, and maintenance activities. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Assist with roadside repairs and emergency breakdowns as needed. Collaborate with fleet managers and drivers to identify maintenance concerns and minimize downtime.
