We are looking for a hands-on leader who pairs master-level diesel expertise with proven people skills to elevate our fleet operations. The Impact You Will Make You will run a best-in-class maintenance program that keeps every vehicle road-ready, every technician engaged, and every dollar working hard. Your success will show up in lower downtime, spotless compliance audits, and a team that feels supported and motivated. What You'll Do Direct a crew of mechanics, cleaners, and support staff Diagnose, repair, and coach—serve as both technical expert and mentor Plan and track preventive maintenance and repairs in Fleetio Audit work orders for accuracy, parts usage, and warranty recovery Build strong vendor partnerships, negotiating pricing and service levels Monitor KPIs such as out-of-service rate, cost per mile, and inventory turns; present actionable insights to leadership Enforce all federal, state, and company safety standards Keep the shop and facilities clean, organized, and inspection-ready Control labor, inventory, and outside-repair costs without sacrificing quality What You Bring Certified Diesel Mechanic credentials (ASE or equivalent) Five or more years maintaining buses, trucks, or heavy equipment, with at least two years in a leadership role Solid grasp of DOT, FMCSA, and EPA regulations Proven record of coaching and holding teams accountable while maintaining morale Strength in data analysis and experience with Fleetio or a comparable fleet-management system Skill in vendor sourcing, contract negotiation, and warranty recovery Comfort with Microsoft 365 and the ability to master new technology A commitment to our core values of Safety, Integrity, Accountability, and Service Excellence Why DPV Competitive salary, plus performance bonus Medical, dental, and 401(k) with company match Paid vacation, sick time, and holidays Free on-site haircuts and other employee perks A culture that values your voice and rewards initiative
