Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel-powered equipment, including trucks, construction machinery, and industrial vehicles. Your expertise will ensure that all equipment operates efficiently, safely, and reliably, supporting our operations across various sectors. This position offers an exciting opportunity for mechanics passionate about heavy machinery and committed to delivering top-tier service. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, air brakes, and electrical components using schematics and specialized tools. Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, wheel alignments, and shocks & struts replacement to keep equipment in optimal condition. Repair and fabricate parts as needed using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques to ensure precise fit and function. Troubleshoot complex issues on heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, and industrial equipment with attention to detail. Assemble and disassemble mechanical components for repairs or upgrades while adhering to safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Maintain accurate service records documenting repairs performed, parts used, and diagnostics conducted for accountability and future reference. Assist in heavy lifting operations and perform welding or soldering tasks when required to restore or enhance equipment functionality. Skills Ability to work inside and outside of the shop . Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, HVAC systems, and electrical systems. Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex systems. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and other maintenance tools. CDL preferred Ability to perform heavy duty diagnostics alongside vehicle maintenance tasks including brake repair and alignment. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients or team members about repairs and maintenance needs. Physical capability for heavy lifting and working in various environmental conditions; safety-conscious mindset is essential. $25.00 - $45.00 per hour
