About us Founded in Columbus, OH in 2013, Green Earth Recycling LLC is central Ohio's premiere one stop recycling facility. Our customers are our most important partners. We provide outstanding products and solutions that exceed our client's expectations. Our focus has always been customer service; moreover, following through on our promises to contribute to our customers' long term success. This position will be supporting our current lead mechanic. Must be punctual for and during shift Lift 50 lbs Stand, kneel, stretch, bend Work in wet/dry/cold/hot weather conditions Knowledge of the mechanics of forklifts, skid-steers, loaders, excavators, box trucks, dump trucks, flatbed trucks, and other industrial equipment such as balers. Perform maintenance on all trucks, equipment, and machinery Adhere to all safety regulations while operating machinery and equipment and while performing maintenance Keep logs of routine maintenance and specialty maintenance on all trucks, equipment, and machinery Keep small tool area cataloged and organized Ability to communicate with various operators of machinery and equipment Ability to problem solve Walk each department at the end of each day to ensure all machinery, equipment, tools are off, covered, put away, etc Work individually and collaboratively and under the direction of our lead mechanic. Skills
  • Proficient in soldering and welding techniques for metal fabrication and repair
  • Experience operating heavy equipment such as skidsteers or forklifts
  • Knowledge of brake repair and maintenance procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals
  • Familiarity with dealership-specific diagnostic software (e.g., Caterpillar)
  • Understanding of HVAC systems in diesel vehicles
  • Capable of heavy lifting and physical exertion As a Diesel Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe operation of diesel engines and vehicles.
