Job Description

Automotive / Heavy-Duty Mechanic Universal Transportation Systems (UTS) - Cincinnati, Ohio Do you have at least 3 years of automotive and/or heavy-duty mechanical experience? Do you want to make an impact in your local community? Universal Transportation Systems (UTS) is currently hiring skilled Mechanics for our Cincinnati location. We are seeking friendly, reliable, and professional technicians to join our growing team.
What You'll Do:
Perform maintenance and repairs on minivans, transit vans, and yellow school buses. Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues. Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections. Utilize shop equipment and diagnostic tools effectively. Work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety and quality standards.

What We're Looking For:
Valid Ohio Driver's License (CDL with PS endorsement preferred). 3-5 years of mechanical experience. School bus experience (preferred). Experience with Insite, NED, and Allison DOC (preferred). ASE Certification (preferred). Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and 75 lbs occasionally. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Knowledge of shop equipment. Team-oriented mindset with strong work ethic. Positive, dependable, and safety-focused. This is a multifaceted role supporting both light and medium-duty fleet maintenance. Our mechanics report directly to the Assets and Facilities Director and are a vital part of maintaining the safety of our fleet and the students we serve.
