Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Diesel Technician, where your expertise in heavy equipment and vehicle maintenance will drive operational excellence! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of diesel-powered machinery and vehicles. Your mechanical skills and attention to detail will ensure equipment runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse machinery including trucks, farm equipment, industrial systems, and heavy-duty construction equipment. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, air brakes, suspensions, and electrical systems using schematics and technical manuals. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, alignment checks, and component replacements to keep equipment operating at peak performance. Fabricate parts or modifications as needed using welding and hand tools to ensure optimal fit and function. Operate heavy equipment including , tractors, Trailers and other industrial machinery safely and efficiently. Troubleshoot mechanical issues on farm machinery, heavy trucks, industrial equipment, and vehicle systems for truck drivers or fleet operators. Utilize automotive diagnostics tools to identify faults accurately and implement effective repair solutions. Maintain detailed service records, complete repair reports, and adhere to safety protocols during all maintenance activities. Experience Proven dealership experience or extensive background working with heavy equipment mechanics is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of diesel mechanics including engine repair, hydraulics, HVAC systems, shocks & struts, and suspension components. Hands-on experience with automotive electrical system repair and troubleshooting vehicle systems using schematics. Skilled in the use of power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools necessary for complex repairs. Familiarity with heavy truck repair procedures such as brake repair, wheel alignment, tire service, and air brake systems. Experience working with Volvo, Freightliner, Ford. GMC Caterpillar, Detroit, Cummis or similar heavy machinery brands is a plus. Ability to lift heavy components safely during repairs or equipment maintenance; excellent mechanical knowledge coupled with customer service skills to assist clients effectively.
