Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Diesel Mechanic, where your expertise will drive the maintenance and repair of a diverse range of diesel-powered vehicles and heavy equipment. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our fleet operates at peak performance, contributing to our commitment to excellence in service and reliability. What you'll do Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, and air brake systems. Conduct routine maintenance on various heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, and farm machinery. Utilize schematics to troubleshoot electrical systems and perform automotive diagnostics. Execute fabrication tasks as needed to support equipment repairs. Operate hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating repair needs clearly to clients. Maintain accurate records of all services performed and parts used. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality outcomes. Basic qualifications Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in diesel engine repair. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation and maintenance practices. Strong understanding of hydraulics, suspension systems, shocks & struts, alignment, and HVAC systems. Preferred qualifications Experience working in a dealership setting or as a service technician. Proficiency in working with industrial equipment and tractor-trailers. Skills in electrical troubleshooting and soldering techniques. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for equipment handling.
