Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Diesel Mechanic and become a vital part of maintaining and repairing a wide range of heavy-duty equipment, including trucks, construction machinery, and industrial vehicles. Whether working on diesel engines, hydraulic systems, or electrical components, you'll be at the forefront of keeping our fleet and machinery in top condition. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, hydraulics, suspension systems, and electrical components using OEM schematics and service manuals. Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, brake inspections, alignments, and fluid replacements to maximize equipment lifespan. Conduct heavy equipment operation including farm machinery to assist in repairs or testing procedures. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot issues efficiently while adhering to safety standards. Maintain detailed service records for all repairs and inspections; interpret schematics for complex systems involving hydraulics, HVAC systems, or electrical wiring. Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair status clearly and ensuring timely turnaround of maintenance tasks. Skills Proven experience working in a dealership environment with a strong understanding of OEM parts and specifications. Extensive knowledge of diesel engine repair, brake systems, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension components, and vehicle maintenance. Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding and soldering; capable of assembling or modifying heavy equipment parts. Ability to read and interpret schematics for electrical systems and hydraulic diagrams accurately. Hands-on experience with heavy equipment operation such as mowers, forklifts, and farm machinery. Mechanical knowledge combined with automotive diagnostics skills to identify issues swiftly and precisely. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, service technician practices, and safety protocols related to vehicle repair. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members. Physical capability for heavy lifting and performing maintenance tasks in various environments; familiarity with tire service and alignment procedures is a plus.
