Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Medium/Heavy Truck Diesel Repair Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of medium and heavy-duty trucks, including tractor-trailers, construction equipment, and industrial machinery. Your expertise will ensure that fleet vehicles operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse equipment, utilize advanced diagnostic tools, and contribute to the smooth operation of our transportation and heavy machinery fleet. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, air brake systems, hydraulics, suspension components, and HVAC systems. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, shocks & struts replacement, and brake repairs to ensure optimal vehicle performance. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and complex mechanical issues. Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other industrial machinery safely and efficiently during repair or fabrication tasks. Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and fabrication tools to assemble or repair vehicle components and equipment. Maintain detailed service records including inspection reports, repair logs, and maintenance schedules for all vehicles and equipment serviced. Assist with heavy lifting tasks using appropriate lifting gear or techniques while adhering to safety protocols. Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair status clearly and ensuring work is completed promptly and accurately. Experience Proven mechanic experience with medium/heavy trucks or similar industrial equipment. Dealership experience is highly preferred for familiarity with manufacturer-specific systems. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, air brakes, HVAC systems, and electrical diagnostics. Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics tools and schematics reading. Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding and metalworking for custom repairs or modifications. Experience operating heavy machinery such as excavators or cranes is a plus. Knowledge of farm machinery or industrial equipment maintenance is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during repairs. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting. Pay:
$24.00 - $34.00 per hour
