Hire Pay:

Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM
  • 3:30 PM OR 2:00 PM
  • 10:30 PM Position Overview The individual in this role is responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of trucks and equipment using personally owned hand tools. This includes major engine overhauls using precision instruments to completely rebuild gasoline and diesel engines as needed. Job Duties
  • Full-service maintenance and repair on trucks and trailers
  • Perform annual vehicle inspections in accordance with D.O.T. regulations
  • Diagnose and repair:
  • Low voltage electrical systems
  • Steering systems
  • Pneumatic/air brake systems
  • Hydraulic systems (cylinders, PTOs, valves, pumps)
  • Engine troubleshooting
  • Transmission troubleshooting and clutch service
  • Drivetrain components: brakes, differentials, drivelines, wheel ends
  • Maintain accurate work orders (written or computer-generated)
  • Assist with facility and yard maintenance as needed
  • Keep a clean and organized work environment
  • Perform light welding and fabrication work Qualifications
  • Minimum 3+ years of related experience
  • Vocational training or technical certification (preferred)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and teamwork skills
  • Ability to maintain vehicles in compliance with all D.O.T. regulations
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Capable of operating vehicles up to and including Class 8 trucks
  • Ability to operate forklifts (with training)
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
  • Adequately equipped tool box Preferred (Not Required)
  • Engine rebuilding experience
  • Familiarity with diagnostic tools such as Cummins Insite, Detroit D-deck, and CAT E.T.
CDL Class A, B, or C Pre-employment:
background check, drug screen, physical examination
