  • Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Diesel Technician to join our dynamic team dedicated to maintaining and repairing marine diesel engines and related systems.
This energetic role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of vessels, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and reliability. As a Marine Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and conducting preventative maintenance on marine engines and associated mechanical and electrical systems. Your expertise will help keep our fleet operating smoothly while providing exceptional service to our customers. This paid position is ideal for individuals passionate about marine technology, mechanical systems, and delivering top-tier customer support. Duties Diagnose and troubleshoot marine diesel engine problems using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools. Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on marine engines and auxiliary systems. Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and precision measuring instruments such as calipers and ohmmeters to complete repairs accurately. Interpret electrical wiring diagrams and schematics to repair electrical systems within marine engines. Assist with heavy lifting tasks using appropriate rigging techniques and safety procedures. Maintain detailed service records, inspection reports, and logs of all work performed. Support customer service efforts by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly to clients. Collaborate with team members on vessel maintenance projects to ensure timely completion of tasks. Skills Proven experience as a service technician with a focus on marine diesel engines or heavy machinery. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by electrical experience. Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals accurately. Familiarity with maintenance procedures for heavy equipment or vehicles is advantageous. The ability to communicate technical information effectively. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety protocols. Flexibility to travel at short notice is a plus as we send our techs to places like American Samoa, Dutch Harbor and everywhere in between. A Drivers License is required.
