Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel-powered equipment and vehicles. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability of construction machinery, industrial equipment, farm machinery, and transportation vehicles. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, suspension systems, and electrical components using OEM schematics and diagnostic tools. Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, trailers, and construction machinery to ensure operational efficiency. Fabricate parts or components as needed using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques to meet specific repair requirements. Inspect and service farm machinery and industrial equipment to uphold safety standards and extend equipment lifespan. Replace or repair brake systems, alignments, tires, suspensions, HVAC systems, and perform diesel engine repairs with precision. Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, and document all repairs performed for accountability and future reference. Assist in heavy lifting operations and perform welding or assembly tasks to support ongoing maintenance projects. Requirements Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic with dealership experience preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment mechanics including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, trailers, and construction machinery. Proficiency in electrical diagnostics for automotive and industrial applications. Ability to read schematics accurately and interpret technical manuals for troubleshooting complex systems. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering devices, and other maintenance tools. Experience with OEM parts replacement and fabrication techniques. Knowledge of HVAC systems related to heavy equipment is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining high attention to detail during repairs. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
