Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty equipment and vehicles to ensure optimal operational performance. Your expertise will keep our fleet and machinery running smoothly, supporting various industrial, agricultural, and construction applications. This position offers an exciting opportunity for mechanics with a passion for heavy equipment and a commitment to excellence. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, brakes, shocks & struts, and air brake systems. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and fluid checks to maximize equipment lifespan. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues efficiently. Fabricate parts or modify equipment using welding, soldering, power tools, and hand tools to meet specific repair needs. Operate heavy machinery including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractor-trailers, and farm or industrial machinery safely and effectively. Inspect and repair vehicle components such as HVAC systems, electrical wiring, powertrain assemblies, and vehicle body parts. Maintain detailed service records and documentation of repairs performed for compliance and future reference. Collaborate with team members to ensure safety standards are met during all repair activities. Experience Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in heavy diesel engine repair and automotive diagnostics. Dealership experience is highly preferred for familiarity with manufacturer-specific systems. Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques including welding and metalworking. Knowledge of heavy equipment operation such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other industrial machinery. Familiarity with schematics for electrical systems and hydraulic diagrams is essential. Ability to perform tire service, brake repairs, alignment procedures, suspension work, and HVAC system troubleshooting. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by experience working with farm machinery, industrial equipment, or tractor-trailers. Skilled in the use of power tools, hand tools, soldering equipment, and other maintenance instruments. Excellent customer service skills for interacting professionally with clients or team members regarding repairs or maintenance needs.
