Job Description
Job Overview Premium Power Services, located in Kennett Square, PA has an immediate need for an experienced Large Truck Mechanic. This position reports to the Manager of Fleet Services. Overtime is available for experienced applicants. Some Saturdays may be required based on fleet needs. Health benefits to include medical, dental, vision and prescription 100% paid by the company. Key Responsibilities Perform routine and preventative maintenance on medium-heavy duty trucks Provides written field service reports at the completion of all services. Interacts with technicians for scheduling and updates. Inspect vehicles for safety compliance and perform necessary repairs to meet industry standards; ensure all repairs adhere to safety protocols. Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and determine appropriate repairs Repair or replace defective parts in accordance with manufacturer specifications Verify proper clearances, dimensions, and functionality of repaired components Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs Comply with company policies, procedures and standards of conduct and appearance to reflect positively on the company image. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to work on trucks, climbing into and out of, crawling under to make repairs. Ability to work safely and promote safety in the workplace. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals and electronic repair and troubleshooting manuals. Ability to use PC to update work order status and explain maintenance and repairs. Ability to verbally and written explain the status of work orders. Ability to keep management aware of any concerns in the shop. Must be dependable.
