Job Description

Job Summary PGT Trucking, Inc. needs skilled Diesel Technicians and Trailer Mechanics to join our team in Midland, PA. This position will be responsible for ensuring that all vehicles are maintained and repaired to the highest standards, contributing to the overall efficiency and safety of our fleet. We have International and Peterbilt tractors and multiple trailer types. All experience levels are welcome with opportunities to advance. Join the Proud Professionals of PGT! Responsibilities Review repair orders, assess mechanical issues, and carry out repairs with accuracy and efficiency. Diagnose malfunctions in diesel engines and related systems, executing necessary repairs with proper tools and supervision as needed. Communicate with the parts department to obtain required components, ensuring accurate documentation of all work performed. Adhere to all shop safety policies and relevant regulations, including those governing hazardous waste disposal. Conduct vehicle inspections to identify additional safety or service needs, notifying supervisors of any required updates or changes to repair orders. Road test vehicles to confirm the quality of repair work, or refer to a supervisor as appropriate. Maintain a clean and organized work area, and ensure security of all company-owned tools. Collaborate with supervisors and fellow technicians to share knowledge, support apprentices, and stay up to date on the latest technical bulletins and company-sponsored training.
