Monday-Friday (Shop Role) + Rotating On-Call (Road Service Role)

Key Responsibilities In-Shop Diesel Technician Diagnose and repair Class 6-8 diesel trucks across multiple makes and models Perform DOT inspections and complete required documentation Repair engines, drivetrains, suspension, steering, brake, and electrical systems Complete preventative maintenance and scheduled service work Perform DPF, DOC, APU, and hydraulic system repairs Assist with welding and fabrication projects as needed Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Road Service Diesel Technician Perform on-site diagnostics and roadside repairs for trucks and trailers Respond to emergency breakdowns involving brakes, air systems, lighting, fuel systems, and drivability concerns Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment, including Pro-Link and Diesel Laptop platforms Maintain service truck inventory, tools, fluids, and repair supplies Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers throughout service calls Participate in a rotating on-call schedule Represent the company professionally during roadside service situations Qualifications 2-5+ years of experience as a Diesel Technician or Heavy-Duty Mechanic PA Safety Inspection License (Required) PA Emissions License (Required) Class A CDL License (Required) Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills Experience working on Class 6-8 trucks and heavy-duty equipment Mobile service experience preferred for Road Service Technicians ASE Certifications preferred ASE S7 Heavy Duty Truck Certification preferred or willingness to obtain Ability to work independently and within a team environment Comfortable participating in an on-call rotation (Road Service role) Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Must pass background check and drug screening Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay: $30-$48/hr based on experience, certifications, and productivity Estimated earning potential of approximately $120,000+ annually On-call bonus opportunities for Road Service Technicians 401(k) with 3% employer match Health, dental, and vision insurance Company-paid $15,000 life insurance with additional coverage options available Short-term and long-term disability coverage Paid time off and 6 paid holidays Paid training and continuing education ASE certification reimbursement and support Tuition reimbursement opportunities Access to advanced diagnostic technology and equipment Stable, year-round workload with advancement opportunities Why This Opportunity Stands Out One of Pennsylvania's largest and most respected heavy-duty fleet service providers Opportunity to choose between shop-based work and mobile field service Modern diagnostic equipment and GPS-dispatched service fleet Family-owned company with more than 30 years of industry success Strong leadership team and supportive culture Consistent workflow and long-term career stability Ongoing training through industry-leading partnerships and programs Diverse repair work that keeps every day challenging and rewarding About the Shop This established fleet maintenance operation has built a reputation for delivering dependable service to commercial fleets throughout the region.
